About LFD Design

Liz Doud brings a thoughtful, personalized approach to interior design, combining her passion for beautiful spaces with a deep appreciation for architecture, history, and the details that make a house feel like home.

Originally raised in Oregon, Liz earned her degree in Interior Architecture from the University of Oregon, with a minor in Historic Preservation. Her passion for architectural history led her to study historic preservation in Croatia, where she further developed her appreciation for timeless design, craftsmanship, and the character of historic spaces.

Since moving to San Diego, Liz has spent more than a decade working within design-build firms, gaining extensive experience in bringing projects from initial concept through completion. Her collaborative approach allows her to work closely with clients, thoughtfully translating their ideas, lifestyles, and personalities into spaces that feel both beautiful and uniquely their own.

As an active member of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), Liz remains engaged with the design community and committed to continued professional growth. Her project experience ranges from the design of a single fireplace to comprehensive, custom-home projects, allowing her to bring the same level of care, creativity, and attention to detail to every scale of work.

Liz believes the best designs are created through collaboration, trust, and a genuine understanding of each client's vision. Her goal is to make the design process enjoyable and approachable while creating thoughtfully designed spaces that feel authentic, functional, and timeless.
